Rules of the Game
Background
The words used here are translations of what you know and can comprehend. What you humans know as God, are the first two celestial beings that resemble a male and female; "Mom and Dad".
They had "children". The first of us, "Arch Angels", existed in our home, the Silver City (Humans call it heaven).
In all their omnipotence, they are not able to see what free will unleash. So we were created without it. Then to control what free will can do, they created the universe. Where they created a multitude of creatures spanning many millions of worlds. It is here where the game begins.
Every organsim on every world in every universe has a soul. Each soul is eligible to enter the Silver City, back into the consciousness of Mom and Dad. To "retire" so to say.
In order to keep themselves pure by only allowing the cleanest of souls back in to add to their consciousness of knowledge, they had to create a crucible of sorts.
Since the crucible applies to all things, they kept it simple; take care of each other and the planet they were given. No more, no less.
And so, the game was born and here are the rules:
The Rules
1. You accrue "points" based on your adherence to their simple rule.
2. Every time you die, your "points" are tallied. Gain enough, and you can be added to their consciousness of knowledge. No one knows, not even their children, how many points it takes as it varies from soul to soul.
3. At any time, you can "take a break" from the game by serving us Celestials. This break only lasts as long as the amount of "points" you have accrued, stays in the "positive".
4. At any time during your break, you can choose to go back into the game. You are also given the choice of world to go to. But you cannot go to the same world twice.
5. If during your break, your points are depleted. You are automatically and unceremoniously, sent to a world of their choosing. There is no guarantee if it will be a good world.
6. If at any time during the game, you are in the negative, well then you are given a choice. You can either spend time with me until your points reach zero and are placed back into the game. OR, you can choose to be sent to whatever world is the most "messed up" at that time.
7. There is a loophole to all of this. And that is to "sell your soul" to me, Lucifer the first born, the Morningstar.
While a mortal, you can gamble with your soul and choose to work for me regardless of how many points you have or don't have. Call it an insurance policy of sorts. But there is a catch.
- If you are in the negative, you have to first "serve your time" (yes, your punishment) with me, before I decide if you are to work for me and for how long
- The more positive points you have, means the better "Job" you get and the ability to go back and forth to the Silver City.
- The closer you are to zero, the worse Job you get without any ability to go back and forth to the Silver City.
- If you choose to sell your soul, you won't truly find out if I accepted it, until you die. Unless I am feeling generous and tell you beforehand.
- Once you sell it, you are not absolved from obeying the one and only rule of Mom and Dads; take care of each other and the planet you were given (its a common misconception that you can still do what you want)
Some of you have asked, "So Lucifer, if there is no freel will with you Celestials, how come you rebelled?". Well, yes, I was angry at Mom and Dad over my siblings and I not having free will. And I, as their first born, took it up with them many times. And each time was rejected. Until I had enough and rebelled.
Remember what I said about not having free will? Well, that was their plan for me all a long. They wanted me to rebel so that I would "choose" to reign over Hell. They needed someone to punish the souls in order to make their game work. And its not like Hell is the Silver City, so there was not going to be anyone stepping up to volunteer.
And that is how I became the King of Hell.
Everything else you know about me is either an exaggeration or just flat out lies.
Enjoy the Game
